Jennifer, our wedding coordinator made the whole experience enjoyable and easy. I didn’t have to think about anything but my dress, his suit and our wedding favors. Reasonably priced for the complete package and our special day turned out beautiful. It rained the entire time but she saved the day on more than one occasion. Our cake melted from the humidity and she adorned it with flowers and saved it! Weddings are stressful but they don’t have to be if you’ve got Jennifer and the whole crew at Haleiwa Joe’s! My husband and I were married here last August. After a LOT of research, we decided to book Haiku Gardens as our wedding and reception venue. 5 stars for the following reasons:
1) Full wedding coordination. We worked with their in-house wedding coordinator, Jennifer. At first, I was a bit hesitant about working with a coordinator who was employed by the venue itself- thinking we might get mediocre vendor recommendations that just happened to do business with the restaurant. Wrong!! Jennifer truly was a blessing to work with. She was honest in describing the attributes of each vendor, and has no hidden agendas. We compared quotes on flowers, photographers, etc. that we obtained on our own to those obtained by Jennifer, and her prices were lower on each, by far.
Our wedding was completely stress-free, as Jennifer and her assistant paid the vendors, kept the reception timeline running smoothly, and were attentive and accommodating to our needs prior to and on our wedding day.
Jennifer will work within your budget, and keeps all details on intricate spreadsheets that she will send you updates on regularly, so you know where you stand in the planning process.
2) The views are beautiful. Koolaus circle the restaurant and wedding site, which is a lush, tropical garden.
3) If you have your wedding/reception here, you will have the grounds all to yourself. No obnoxious hotel guests walking past and staring at your ceremony, no other restaurant patrons staring at you while you take your pictures.
4) Pricing. You can’t get a better deal for the privacy, views, and service you will receive from having your wedding and reception here!
We got married at the Haiku Gardens on New Year’s Eve and it was amazing. The staff was so professional and friendly, they exceeded our expectations. Jennifer, the wedding coordinator, was amazing. We live in Arizona and Jennifer would email and call us to plan the wedding. We thought “we are spending thousands for a surprise” since we were unable to taste anything or talk to others in person. It was a fantastic surprise. The food was so delicious, the decorations were beautiful, she was able to coordinate the colors to match perfectly, the vendors were wonderful and Jennifer made everything happen within our budget. The environment of the gardens is calming and romantic, whether it’s raining or shining. Our guests stated “This is the best wedding I have ever been to.” We agree!!

Our wedding took place at the beginning of August 2010. A friend recommended we check out the garden and we were absolutely in love with the site immediately. It is surprisingly quiet and secluded. The views are just amazing. We came back the same evening to try out the food and it was fantastic. I had an appointment and date within the week. Jennifer and Yoshiko were so helpful I can’t say enough wonderful things. Everything was taken care of from flowers to favors to transportation. Nothing was overlooked and I never felt like I was taking up too much time. I was a little skeptical of the ‘wedding packages’. That to me sounded so cookie cutter, but the freedom you have to add things, change them and make them how you want them to be was easy and made it budget friendly. Being fairly new to the island Jennifer really helped me plan the whole event from beginning to end without the support of family and friends and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. She doesn’t miss a beat! The ceremony in the open air chapel was stunning. The staff at the reception was extremely attentive without being intrusive. If you are looking for a site to have a breathtaking outdoor wedding that friends and family will never forget this is my recommendation. Most of our guests were from the mainland so this gave them the opportunity to see something other than Waikiki that they will never forget. And talk about picture perfect! Our wedding pictures in the garden are just stunning. Being able to have the establishment to ourselves was so private and wonderful. No onlookers peering in from balconies or adjacent spaces. I will never forget how easy it was to get everything accomplished and feel so sure that everything was going to be just right. Haiku Gardens staff made our wedding remarkable and easy. I can’t say enough good things about them! Thank you!
